Welcome to Clan Na nGael's weekly e-letter! Its purpose is to inform our members and friends of Club events and other Irish happenings in Atlanta. Please send items for inclusion in next week's email to Chair@atlantagaa.org

7TH ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT Clan Na nGael's Annual Golf Tournament at the Hampton Golf Village (Cumming, GA) is almost here! Come out Saturday, April 19th for a great day of golf on a beautifully scenic 18-hole Championship course! First tee off is at 12pm! Beverages will be supplied during the day and awards will be presented in The Harp Irish Pub later that evening. Join the many individuals who have already registered - space is running out so don't delay!! Teams can register at $300; or players individually at $75. For registration or sponsorship opportunities contact Tom McSorley (770-392-0107); ttmcs@mindspring.com It's a fun time, try to be a part of it! HURLING TOURNAMENT Clan Na nGael Hurling Team are traveling to participate in a Hurling tournament involving teams from Notre Dame, Milwaukee and St. Louis. This competition is to be played at Gaelic Park, Chicago on the weekend of April 26th. The first game is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 26. There are few training possibilities left before then! Hurlers, please make every effort to attend the training sessions in preparation of the tournament. TRAINING COMMENCEMENT LADIES!! Training for the Ladies' football team commenced this past Wednesday and will continue on Monday and Wednesday evenings. All new and beginner players are most welcome!! Fearless Johnny O'Sullivan is trainer once again this year. Training starts at 7:30pm at Morgan Falls Park. Please email info@atlantagaa.org for more details!!

MEN'S TRAINING It was decided at Sunday's kick off meeting that the men's football team will start training on Tuesday, April 22nd. Stay tuned for more details! In the meantime, a men's trainer has not yet been established. If you would like to express your wish to train the men's team, please email info@atlantagaa.org. Thanks!

NEWLY UPDATED WEBSITE! Thanks to Michael Dermody, our Atlanta Clan Na nGael website has been updated, with some new added features! Check it out and join our new forum, where you can post discussion threads, add pictures to our photo albums, etc. www.atlantagaa.org

SPEAKING OF PHOTOS... We would like to piece together a pictorial history of the Club. Once completed, it can be displayed at various venues for promotion of Clan Na nGael. If you have any pictures from the early beginnings of the club to present, and can part with them while we make copies (or donate them straight out), please contact Paddy Feery at registrar@atlantagaa.org

CORRECTION The listed web site address for the Atlanta Celtic Festival mentioned in last week's notes should read: www.atlantacelticfestival.org Sorry for the error! Remember, Clan Na nGael teams will participate in the festival with a game demonstration and booth on the Saturday of the Festival!!

  Men's Hurling Headline

Hurlers are Victorious in NACB Junior B Hurling Championship 2003
Congratulations to the club's hurlers who were victorious at the "Junior B level Championships" in Boston.
Atlanta won the tournament with a great performance against Milwaukee hurling club.

 
 
  
  Ladies Camogie headline

Due to the low turn out, we will not be having camogie-specific training sessions. Any women, new and beginner, are welcome to join the hurlers training session until numbers improve. Thanks!
