Men's Football Weekly News -6/3/2003

Gentlemen,

Training Continues every Tuesday & Thursday and starts @ 7:30 PM Sharp
Let either Ray Tracey or myself know if you cannot make it.
 

Two Games In Charlotte on June Sat 21st
Game 1
Atlanta vs Charlotte @ 12:00 PM
Game 2 Charlotte vs Washington DC @ 3:00PM
Game 3 Atlanta vs Washington DC @ 6:00 PM

There are other games in between.
Please let us know this week if you can make these games.  This is a great opportunity to find out where we stand as a team and to get some real game practice behind us. We will have to leave Atlanta on Saturday Morning @ 7:00-7:15AM in order to get there on time to warm up.

New Faces
We would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new players that have come out this year to date and hope they continue to hang around and enjoy themselves.
Jim, Pete, Brian, Colin, Brendan, Drew, Dev, Ben. There are others but their names escape me right now.
We would also like to welcome back all those players who have come back to play this year.

We will be starting a Town League right after our trip to Charlotte

1) Two teams of 13 a side - Best of five games 
            Each team will be allowed to recruit footballers to join their team.

Sat-14-Jun GAA Hurling Qualifier Preliminary Qualfier Preliminary Round 3: Teams to be announced
Sun-15-Jun GAA Ulster SFC Semi-Final: Tyrone/Derry v Antrim/Cavan 9.30am
Sun-15-Jun GAA Leinster SFC Semi-Final: Offaly/Laois v Dublin/Wicklow 11.15am

The draw for the first round of the Bank of Ireland All-Ireland SFC qualifiers were made on Sunday night.

Four of the eight games will be played on Saturday next, with three games on Sunday and the clash between Down or Monaghan and Meath or Westmeath taking place on Sunday week, 14th June.

Wexford Park 14.00: Wexford v Derry
Tullamore, 16.15: London v Offaly
Dr Hyde Park, 16.15: Roscommon v Cork
Ballybofey, 18.15: Donegal v Longford

Sunday, June 8

Walsh Park, 14.00: Waterford v Armagh
Navan, 18.15: Louth v Cavan

  Men's Hurling Headline

Hurlers are Victorious in NACB Junior B Hurling Championship 2003
Congratulations to the club's hurlers who were victorious at the "Junior B level Championships" in Boston.
Atlanta won the tournament with a great performance against Milwaukee hurling club.

 
 
  
  Ladies Camogie headline

Due to the low turn out, we will not be having camogie-specific training sessions. Any women, new and beginner, are welcome to join the hurlers training session until numbers improve. Thanks!
