Charlotte NC GAA Tournament 2003 -6/12/2003

Charlotte James Connolly's will host their first ever tournament, sponsored
by Connolly's on 5th Street Irish Pub, Charlotte, on Saturday June 21st at
the scenic Belmont Abbey in Belmont, North Carolina, just a few miles
outside Charlotte.

Men's teams from Charlotte, Atlanta Clan Na nGAel and Washington DC Gaels
will compete in a "round robin" tournament and with all teams planning to
bring along full panels an exciting day's football is expected.

The 2001 NACB Junior "B" Champions DC Gaels will be travelling as favorites
but they will face stiff competition from a fledgling James Connolly's and a
rebuilding Clan Na nGael team who are now under the management of Ray
Tracey.

The tournament will also feature the Washington and Atlanta Ladies in a
Challenge game and a Camogie exhibhition involving ladies from all three
clubs.

Atlanta v. Charlotte(12pm);
Atlanta Ladies v. DC Ladies (1:30pm);
DC v. Charlotte(3pm);
Camogie/Hurling Exhibition (4:30pm)
Atlanta v. DC (6:00pm).

Trophy presentations in Connollys on 5th Street, 5th Street, Downtown
Charlotte at 9pm

Hurlers are Victorious in NACB Junior B Hurling Championship 2003
Congratulations to the club's hurlers who were victorious at the "Junior B level Championships" in Boston.
Atlanta won the tournament with a great performance against Milwaukee hurling club.

 
 
  
  Ladies Camogie headline

Due to the low turn out, we will not be having camogie-specific training sessions. Any women, new and beginner, are welcome to join the hurlers training session until numbers improve. Thanks!
