Welcome to Clan na nGael's weekly e-letter!  Its purpose is to inform our members and friends of Club events and other Irish happenings in Atlanta.  Please send items for inclusion in next week's email to Chair@atlantagaa.org

MEMBERSHIP...

Membership dues and player waiver forms are now due.  Players, please contact a committee member to register and sign your form or get with your team coordinator (Ladies:  Dianna Schillinger; Hurlers:  Kieran Claffey; Men:  Ray Tracey).  Email info@atlantagaa.org if you would like to receive a registration form via email. Coming soon:  online membership registration!!

CELTIC FESTIVAL!!!

The Atlanta Celtic Festival is a little over a week away!  On Saturday, May 17th, at Oglethorpe University, Clan na nGael will be represented as they play demonstration games of Gaelic Football and Hurling.  An information booth will be available before and during the games.  The schedule for the games is:  Men's Football @ 1:00pm; Ladies' Football @ 2:30pm; and Hurling @ 4pm.  Come out to watch our teams play traditional Irish sports.  Players, please be there at least 30 minutes before your scheduled game time to allow for warm-up, and team preparation!  Anyone able to volunteer at the booth, please email info@atlantagaa.org  Thanks!  We hope to see you there!  Additional information can be found at www.atlantacelticfestival.org

THE "REEL" OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT, JUNE 14, 2003  

Mark your calendars! The Irish Dance Community will be having their annual Golf Tournament fundraiser at the Hampton Golf Village (Cumming, GA) on Saturday, June 14th.  The tournament is being sponsored by Georgia State Feis which is a non profit organization formed to bring one of the nations most progressive Irish Dance Competitions to Atlanta.  Individuals or complete teams are welcome.  First tee off is at 12pm Registration Fees will be $300 /foursome, $75 / individual, and $85 / individual on the day of the event.  Join us in The Harp Irish Pub immediately following the tournament as awards are presented.  For registration or sponsorship opportunities contact Jim O'Sullivan (770- 509 0383); jim.osullivan@tetrapak.com

Hurlers are Victorious in NACB Junior B Hurling Championship 2003
Congratulations to the club's hurlers who were victorious at the "Junior B level Championships" in Boston.
Atlanta won the tournament with a great performance against Milwaukee hurling club.

 
 
  
  Ladies Camogie headline

Due to the low turn out, we will not be having camogie-specific training sessions. Any women, new and beginner, are welcome to join the hurlers training session until numbers improve. Thanks!
