Clan Na nGael Team 2008

Our ladies team put up a valiant effort in this year's north american championships in San Francisco this past labor day weekend.  The team made it to the final having drawn at full time in the semi-final.  With 3 points down and against the wind the Atlanta women somehow managed to defeat San Diego and progress.  A seasoned San Fran team beat the girls in the second half of final.  The teams were level at half time but San Francisco pulled away towards the end.  Well done ladies - you made Atlanta proud.  Next year we'll win it.  I'd like to personally thank Cathi Duggar for her long-term commitment to the team.  Cathi is threatening to retire and I believe she means it this time.  Also, a special thanks also to Kieran Cronin who coached the girls this year.
